2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Robert Lee "Bob" Jamieson Sr. of Port | ||||||
4 | Byron, who passed away on March 6, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Bob Jamieson Sr. was born in Moline to Wallace and | ||||||
6 | Emma Peterson Jamieson on June 21, 1927; he served in the | ||||||
7 | United States Army in 1945; during the Korean Conflict, he | ||||||
8 | served in the United States Navy; he married Marilyn Anderson | ||||||
9 | in 1949; he later married Arlene Johnston in 1969; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Bob Jamieson Sr. co-owned and operated Jamieson's | ||||||
11 | Garage in Moline with his brother, Verne; he retired from John | ||||||
12 | Deere Harvester in East Moline in 1992; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Bob Jamieson Sr. was preceded in death by his | ||||||
14 | parents; his wife, Arlene; his son, Robert L. Jamieson Jr.; his | ||||||
15 | sister-in-law; and his brother-in-law; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Bob Jamieson Sr. is survived by his son, John | ||||||
17 | Jamieson; his grandchildren, Stacy Boatman, Mandy Steinmetz, | ||||||
18 | Eric (Jami) Jamieson, and Andrea Jamieson; his many | ||||||
19 | great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Verne Jamieson and | ||||||
20 | Marilyn Ade; therefore, be it

2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Robert Lee "Bob" Jamieson Sr. and extend our sincere | ||||||
4 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
5 | him; and be it further
