| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Fredric J. Swango of Moline, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on February 28, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Fredric Swango was born in Moline to William and | ||||||
6 | Lillian Mae (Benkaizer) Swango Sr. on February 13, 1939; he | ||||||
7 | earned his bachelor's degree and was a career officer in the | ||||||
8 | United States Marine Corps for 21 years and achieved the rank | ||||||
9 | of major; and

10 | WHEREAS, After serving his country, Fredric Swango taught | ||||||
11 | at the Western Illinois University extension; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Fredric Swango enjoyed fishing and visiting area | ||||||
13 | animal shelters; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Fredric Swango was preceded in death by his | ||||||
15 | parents; his brother, William Swango Jr.; and his sisters, Anna | ||||||
16 | Marie Evans, Shirley McLaughlin, Betty Murphy, and Ruth Cozad; | ||||||
17 | therefore, be it

18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
20 | Fredric J. Swango and extend our sincere condolences to his |

1 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
