| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Jack B. Blane, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | February 19, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jack Blane leaves a legacy of immeasurable | ||||||
6 | dedication and commitment to Rotary International; his focus | ||||||
7 | for the last 30 years was on PolioPlus, the global eradication | ||||||
8 | of polio; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Jack Blane was active with the Highland Park | ||||||
10 | Community Foundation, the Boy Scouts of America, the City of | ||||||
11 | Highland Park, and numerous other organizations; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Jack Blane was preceded in death by his wife of 61 | ||||||
13 | years, Joan (Fleischman); and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Jack Blane was the loving father of Barbara (Rand) | ||||||
15 | Toney, the late Nancy (Tony) Guerra, and John Blane; and the | ||||||
16 | proud grandfather of Sarah (Patrick Pauley) Toney, David Toney, | ||||||
17 | and Nathan Blane; therefore, be it

18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
20 | Jack B. Blane, and extend our sincere condolences to his |

1 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||

3 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
