SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Thomas D. "Tom" Linford of Warrenville,
who passed away on February 19, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Tom Linford was born in Breckenridge, Minnesota to
Avard and Venice Linford on July 3, 1945; he played football in
high school and graduated from Drake University in Des Moines,
Iowa in 1967; he served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant;
he served in Vietnam and earned many decorations and honors,
including the Purple Heart; he married Linda on February 20,
1988; and
WHEREAS, Tom Linford worked as Director of Marketing for
Teepak in Oak Brook for many years, retiring in 2005; and
WHEREAS, Tom Linford enjoyed golf, hunting, bowling, and
dancing; and
WHEREAS, Tom Linford is survived by his wife, Linda; his
children, Michelle (John) Linford, Amy (David) Hadley, and
Thomas Linford; and his grandchildren, Kayla, Noah, Nathan, and
David; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Thomas D. "Tom" Linford, and extend our sincere condolences to
his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Tom Linford as an expression of our
deepest sympathy.
