| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Thomas D. "Tom" Linford of Warrenville, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on February 19, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Tom Linford was born in Breckenridge, Minnesota to | ||||||
6 | Avard and Venice Linford on July 3, 1945; he played football in | ||||||
7 | high school and graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, | ||||||
8 | Iowa in 1967; he served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant; | ||||||
9 | he served in Vietnam and earned many decorations and honors, | ||||||
10 | including the Purple Heart; he married Linda on February 20, | ||||||
11 | 1988; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Tom Linford worked as Director of Marketing for | ||||||
13 | Teepak in Oak Brook for many years, retiring in 2005; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Tom Linford enjoyed golf, hunting, bowling, and | ||||||
15 | dancing; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Tom Linford is survived by his wife, Linda; his | ||||||
17 | children, Michelle (John) Linford, Amy (David) Hadley, and | ||||||
18 | Thomas Linford; and his grandchildren, Kayla, Noah, Nathan, and | ||||||
19 | David; therefore, be it

20 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |

1 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
2 | Thomas D. "Tom" Linford, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
3 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||

5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
6 | presented to the family of Tom Linford as an expression of our | ||||||
7 | deepest sympathy.
