2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Phillip Kirkhove Jr. of Silvis, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on January 15, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Phillip Kirkhove Jr. was born in Kewanee to | ||||||
6 | Phillip and Eva Ross Kirkhove Sr.; he served in the United | ||||||
7 | States Army and the United States Navy during the Korean | ||||||
8 | Conflict; he married Joyce Cady at Sacred Heart Catholic Church | ||||||
9 | in Rock Island on October 2, 1954; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Phillip Kirkhove Jr. retired as an inspector from | ||||||
11 | Caterpillar; after retirement, he ran Phil's Gage Repair; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Phillip Kirkhove Jr. enjoyed spending time with | ||||||
13 | his family, camping, bowling, playing rolle bolle, golfing; he | ||||||
14 | made a hole in one at Golfmohr; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Phillip Kirkhove Jr. was preceded in death by his | ||||||
16 | son, Randy; his parents; his brothers, Ray and Bob; and his | ||||||
17 | daughter-in-law, Debbie; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Phillip Kirkhove Jr. is survived by his wife, | ||||||
19 | Joyce; his children, Sandy (Daniel) Lyons, Russ Kirkhove, Donna | ||||||
20 | (Joe) Landuit, Carol (Jorge) Ramos, Debbie (John) Welzenbach, |

1 | and Joyce Ann (Wade) Williams; his 18 grandchildren; and his 25 | ||||||
2 | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Phillip Kirkhove Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
7 | further

8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to the family of Phillip Kirkhove as an expression of | ||||||
