2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Oma Maxine Heepke of Bethalto, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on January 14, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Oma Heepke was born in Bethalto to Walter and | ||||||
6 | Violet (Wiley) Neumann on January 2, 1928; she married | ||||||
7 | Frederick "Beef" Heepke at the Eden United Church of Christ on | ||||||
8 | October 1, 1949 and they resided on the family farm in | ||||||
9 | Edwardsville; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Oma Heepke was a member of the Eden Church in | ||||||
11 | Edwardsville, the Eden Women's Guild, the Madison County Farm | ||||||
12 | Bureau Women's Committee, and the Republican Women's | ||||||
13 | Committee; she was a member of several card clubs, one of which | ||||||
14 | met for over 65 years; she also enjoyed sewing and traveling; | ||||||
15 | and

16 | WHEREAS, Oma Heepke was preceded in death by her parents; | ||||||
17 | her husband, Frederick; her brother, Thomas Neumann; and her | ||||||
18 | in-laws, Charles Piro, Harriet Neumann, and Paul and Carl | ||||||
19 | Heepke; and

20 | WHEREAS, Oma Heepke is survived by her sons, Charles F. | ||||||
21 | (Marilyn) and Fred W. (Pamela) Heepke; her siblings, Walter |

9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
10 | Oma Maxine Heepke, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
11 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
