| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Oma Maxine Heepke of Bethalto, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on January 14, 2018; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Oma Heepke was born in Bethalto to Walter and | ||||||
| 6 | Violet (Wiley) Neumann on January 2, 1928; she married | ||||||
| 7 | Frederick "Beef" Heepke at the Eden United Church of Christ on | ||||||
| 8 | October 1, 1949 and they resided on the family farm in | ||||||
| 9 | Edwardsville; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Oma Heepke was a member of the Eden Church in | ||||||
| 11 | Edwardsville, the Eden Women's Guild, the Madison County Farm | ||||||
| 12 | Bureau Women's Committee, and the Republican Women's | ||||||
| 13 | Committee; she was a member of several card clubs, one of which | ||||||
| 14 | met for over 65 years; she also enjoyed sewing and traveling; | ||||||
| 15 | and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Oma Heepke was preceded in death by her parents; | ||||||
| 17 | her husband, Frederick; her brother, Thomas Neumann; and her | ||||||
| 18 | in-laws, Charles Piro, Harriet Neumann, and Paul and Carl | ||||||
| 19 | Heepke; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Oma Heepke is survived by her sons, Charles F. | ||||||
| 21 | (Marilyn) and Fred W. (Pamela) Heepke; her siblings, Walter | ||||||

| 1 | "Bud" (LaVerne) Neumann, Donna Piro, Genevieve Heepke, and Ruth | ||||||
| 2 | Heepke; her grandchildren, Aaron (Tanya) Heepke, Jeff (Marcy) | ||||||
| 3 | Heepke, Dennis (Molly) Heepke, Amanda Heepke, Ross Heepke, | ||||||
| 4 | Alexa (Luke) Lamoreaux, and Alex (Stephanie) Heepke; and her | ||||||
| 5 | great-grandchildren, Grace, Emma, Logan, Lucy, and Henry | ||||||
| 6 | Heepke and Landon Lamoreaux; and many nieces and nephews; | ||||||

| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 10 | Oma Maxine Heepke, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
| 11 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
