| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Charles E. "Chuck" Pierce of Moline, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on January 15, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Chuck Pierce was born in New Bedford to Edward and | ||||||
6 | Earlene Hardesty Pierce on February 10, 1937; he was a veteran | ||||||
7 | of the United States Navy; he married Mary Ann Cottinaec in | ||||||
8 | Moline on January 8, 1955; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Chuck Pierce worked for the Moline/Coal Valley | ||||||
10 | School District for 22 years; he retired in 2008; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Chuck Pierce was a member of the American Legion | ||||||
12 | Post 246, Moline; he enjoyed camping and was a Boy Scout leader | ||||||
13 | for 40 years; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Chuck Pierce was preceded in death by a daughter, | ||||||
15 | Debbie; a son, Rick; and a grandson, Justin; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Chuck Pierce is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; | ||||||
17 | his children, Russ (Michelle) Pierce and Randy Pierce (Trudie | ||||||
18 | Goers, M.D.); his grandchildren, Debrah Ann, Micheol, | ||||||
19 | Jonathan, and Emma; and his half-brother, Edwin Ellstrom; | ||||||
20 | therefore, be it

1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Charles E. "Chuck" Pierce and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
4 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
5 | further

6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to the family of Chuck Pierce as an expression of our | ||||||
