2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Jacqueline Lee "Jackie" St. Peters of | ||||||
4 | Alton, who passed away on December 28, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jackie St. Peters was born in Hammond, Indiana to | ||||||
6 | Stanley and Marjorie Baldwin Kocur on September 22, 1960; she | ||||||
7 | grew up in the suburban Chicago area and graduated from the | ||||||
8 | Bishop Noll Institute; she moved to Alton in 1978 to live with | ||||||
9 | her sister and married Doug St. Peters on October 24, 1982; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Jackie St. Peters graduated from the | ||||||
11 | International School of Travel in Chicago and worked as a | ||||||
12 | travel agent at various locations in Alton and St. Louis; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Jackie St. Peters was a member of St. Ambrose | ||||||
14 | Church in Godfrey and then St. Mary Church in Alton; she | ||||||
15 | enjoyed animals, snow, Christmas decorations, St. Louis | ||||||
16 | Cardinal baseball, Michigan, the number seven, Notre Dame, | ||||||
17 | Aaron Rodgers, and the Green Bay Packers; her family always | ||||||
18 | came first for her, which included her much loved dogs; she | ||||||
19 | spent many happy times with her family at beautiful Walloon | ||||||
20 | Lake, Michigan, where she had vacationed since she was a young | ||||||
21 | child; her most recent travel highlight was a family cruise and | ||||||
22 | trip to Disneyland that she made with her husband and their |

2 | WHEREAS, Jackie St. Peters was preceded in death by her | ||||||
3 | parents; her sister, Karyn Kelly; her brother, Rick Kocur; her | ||||||
4 | brother-in-law, Dr. Frank Drew; and her brother-in-law, Rick | ||||||
5 | Watts; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Jackie St. Peters is survived by her husband, | ||||||
7 | Doug; her daughters, Laura, Courtney, and Megan; her sisters, | ||||||
8 | Jan Drew and Lauren (Jim) Macintyre; her sisters-in-law and | ||||||
9 | brothers-in-law, Wiona Jeffrey, Michael Kelly, Don and Gerry | ||||||
10 | St. Peters, Darlene Watts, Dale and Nancy St. Peters, Denise | ||||||
11 | St. Peters, and Danelle St. Peters; and numerous nieces, | ||||||
12 | nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

13 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
14 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
15 | Jacqueline Lee "Jackie" St. Peters, and extend our sincere | ||||||
16 | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
17 | her; and be it further

18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
19 | presented to the family of Jackie St. Peters as an expression | ||||||
20 | of our deepest sympathy.
