SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Carol Carter of Beach Park, who passed
away on December 22, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Carol Carter was born in Waukegan to Thomas and
Dorothy (Hund) Traynor on March 22, 1947; she married Preston
Carter on September 25, 1965; and
WHEREAS, Carol Carter was a homemaker and the bookkeeper
for the family business; and
WHEREAS, Carol Carter was a member of the Zion Moose Lodge,
the Zion Kiwanis, the Sierra Club, the Wild Life Foundation,
and the Ladies of Harley; she loved her bike trips with the
Harley club; she enjoyed cooking and baking, especially baking
cupcakes for the neighbor kids; and
WHEREAS, Carol Carter was preceded in death by her parents;
and
WHEREAS, Carol Carter is survived by her husband, Preston;
her sons, Chris (Michelle) and Rodrick Carter; her
grandchildren, Aryanna and Jacob Carter; and her
great-grandson, Carter Mattonen; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Carol Carter, and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Carol Carter as an expression of our
deepest sympathy.
