| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Thomas Paul Doty of Fulton, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on September 10, 2022; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Thomas Doty was born to Arthur and Lillian (Lott) | ||||||
| 6 | Doty in Sterling on July 25, 1940; he married Barbara Full in | ||||||
| 7 | Dixon on January 1, 1965, and she preceded him in death on | ||||||
| 8 | February 21, 2015; he served in the U.S. Navy; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Thomas Doty was a member of St. Patrick Catholic | ||||||
| 10 | Church in Albany and the Knights of Columbus, where he served | ||||||
| 11 | as a 4th degree member; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Thomas Doty enjoyed golfing, spending time with | ||||||
| 13 | friends, taking annual trips to Texas, and sports; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Thomas Doty was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| 15 | his wife, Barbara; and his sister, Doris Smith; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Thomas Doty is survived by his sons, Patrick Doty | ||||||
| 17 | and Timothy (Kathy) Doty; his brothers, Don (Barb) Doty and | ||||||
| 18 | Terry (Mary) Doty; and his grandchildren, Travis (Sophia) | ||||||
| 19 | Doty, Trenten Doty, Ryan Doty, and Megan Doty; therefore, be | ||||||
| 20 | it

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 3 | Thomas Paul Doty and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 5 | further

| 6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
