2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Thomas Paul Doty of Fulton, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on September 10, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Thomas Doty was born to Arthur and Lillian (Lott) | ||||||
6 | Doty in Sterling on July 25, 1940; he married Barbara Full in | ||||||
7 | Dixon on January 1, 1965, and she preceded him in death on | ||||||
8 | February 21, 2015; he served in the U.S. Navy; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Thomas Doty was a member of St. Patrick Catholic | ||||||
10 | Church in Albany and the Knights of Columbus, where he served | ||||||
11 | as a 4th degree member; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Thomas Doty enjoyed golfing, spending time with | ||||||
13 | friends, taking annual trips to Texas, and sports; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Thomas Doty was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
15 | his wife, Barbara; and his sister, Doris Smith; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Thomas Doty is survived by his sons, Patrick Doty | ||||||
17 | and Timothy (Kathy) Doty; his brothers, Don (Barb) Doty and | ||||||
18 | Terry (Mary) Doty; and his grandchildren, Travis (Sophia) | ||||||
19 | Doty, Trenten Doty, Ryan Doty, and Megan Doty; therefore, be | ||||||

2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Thomas Paul Doty and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
5 | further

6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
