2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Sandra Jean Turner of McHenry, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on September 14, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Sandra Turner was born on October 30, 1942 in | ||||||
6 | Chicago; her parents were Walter E. and Mary R. (nee Geary) | ||||||
7 | Mayer; she married Zelmer M. Turner on August 20, 1960; she was | ||||||
8 | raised in Chicago and lived in Lisle and Crystal Lake; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Sandra Turner was a purchasing agent at Gearmaster | ||||||
10 | for 25 years and served as a preschool teacher at the First | ||||||
11 | Baptist Church in McHenry for 3 years; she was also an office | ||||||
12 | manager at Concord Tool & Die for 6 years; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Sandra Turner loved spending time with her family, | ||||||
14 | especially her grandchildren; she was an avid bowler; she also | ||||||
15 | enjoyed poker, pinochle, Sudoku, cribbage, and crossword | ||||||
16 | puzzles; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Sandra Turner is survived by her husband, Zelmer; | ||||||
18 | her children, Deb (Rich) Steege, Diana (Jack, Jr.) Winger, | ||||||
19 | Ronald Turner, Randy Turner, and Donna (Larry) Kenyon; her | ||||||
20 | grandchildren, Kenneth, Ashley, Bradley, Michael, Hunter, | ||||||
21 | Catie, Eric, Connor, Alyssa, Troy, A.J., and Ian; her |

1 | great-grandchildren, Leanna and Timmy; her sister, Linda | ||||||
2 | (George) Gutmann; and her brothers, Gerald (Nancy) Mayer and | ||||||
3 | Hank (Lois) Mayer; therefore, be it

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | ||||||
6 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Sandra Jean Turner; | ||||||
7 | and be it further
