SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Billy D. Jenkins of Bloomington, who
4passed away on April 4, 2020; and
5 WHEREAS, Billy Jenkins was born to Gilbert and Glada Hirst
6Jenkins in Normal on October 2, 1927; he married Alta Ball in
7Streator on July 31, 1949; and
8 WHEREAS, Billy Jenkins served in the U.S. Navy during WWII
9and later graduated from Bradley University; he was a
10self-employed jeweler and watch maker from 1951 until his
11retirement in 1991; and
12 WHEREAS, Billy Jenkins was an avid golfer and fisherman; he
13never met a stranger; and
14 WHEREAS, Billy Jenkins was preceded in death by his two
15brothers, his two sisters; his daughter, Sandra Hernandez; and
16his grandson, Tony Hernandez; and
17 WHEREAS, Billy Jenkins is survived by his wife of 71 years,
18Alta Jenkins, his daughter, Carol Randinelli; his two
19grandchildren, Adam Randinelli and Abbi Carr; and his four
20great grandchildren, Carter and Carlie Randinelli and Easton

1and Elliott Carr; therefore, be it
2 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Billy D. Jenkins and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
7 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Billy Jenkins as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
