| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of James R. Dunn Jr. of Bloomington, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on March 7, 2020; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, James Dunn Jr. was born in Bloomington to James R. | ||||||
| 6 | and Martha (Englejohn) Dunn Sr. on December 20, 1929; he served | ||||||
| 7 | in the U.S. Air Force; he married Letty Phillippe in | ||||||
| 8 | Bloomington on April 17, 1976; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, James Dunn Jr. worked in commercial sales with The | ||||||
| 10 | Pantagraph for 30 years; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, James Dunn Jr. was a member of Trinity Lutheran | ||||||
| 12 | Church in Bloomington and a member of the American Legion Carl | ||||||
| 13 | Martin Post #635 in Normal; he ran the Anglers Club; he enjoyed | ||||||
| 14 | traveling, playing golf at the Highland Park Golf Course in | ||||||
| 15 | Bloomington, and skating at the Four Seasons; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, James Dunn Jr. was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 17 | parents; his wife, Letty; and his sister, Mary Ellen Winstead; | ||||||
| 18 | and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, James Dunn Jr. is survived by his stepchildren, | ||||||
| 20 | Maribelle (John) Waters, Neva Jane Wert, and Edwin Jeffrey | ||||||

| 1 | (Marybeth) Skinner; his step-grandchildren, Letty (David) | ||||||
| 2 | Driscoll, Brian (Sammy Jo) Wert, Maggie (Brad) Clark, and | ||||||
| 3 | McKinsey (Pierce) Furrow; his step-great-grandchildren, | ||||||
| 4 | Blaike, Jackson, Maddox, Adelaide, Cole, and Kira; his | ||||||
| 5 | brother-in-law, Bill Winstead; and his nephews, Ron Winstead | ||||||
| 6 | and Tom (Jeanna) Winstead; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 9 | James R. Dunn Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 10 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
