2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Linda L. Glover of Island Lake, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 22, 2010; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, She was born on February 23, 1948, in Chicago, to | ||||||
6 | Edward and Helen (Gawlowski) Gallas; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, She was recognized for being the first woman | ||||||
8 | postal carrier in McHenry County while working through college; | ||||||
9 | she then earned her bachelor's degree from Elmhurst College and | ||||||
10 | her master's degree from Rosary College; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, She taught English at Army Trail High School in | ||||||
12 | Addison and then dedicated over 25 years as a librarian at | ||||||
13 | Harper College, retiring in 2007; she was an avid reader and | ||||||
14 | had a passion for baking cakes for family and friends; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her | ||||||
16 | brother and sister-in-law, Edward (Patricia) Gallas Jr.; and | ||||||
17 | her sister, Marlene Lundborg; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Linda Glover is survived by her daughter, Kristin | ||||||
19 | Glover; her granddaughter, Ella Lee Glover-Taylor; her | ||||||
20 | sisters, Joan (Joseph) Passanante, Phyllis (George) Pugh, and |

1 | Judy Gallas; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
4 | her family and friends, the passing of Linda Glover; and be it | ||||||
5 | further

6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to the family of Linda Glover as a symbol of our | ||||||
8 | sincere sympathy.
