| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of
Barbara Ann Erickson of North Aurora, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on November 10, 2010; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Barbara Ann Erickson was born on December 24, | ||||||
| 6 | 1956, in Aurora; she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burl | ||||||
| 7 | Watson; she was united in marriage to Harold Erickson on March | ||||||
| 8 | 12, 1982; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Barbara Ann Erickson grew up in Aurora and | ||||||
| 10 | attended local schools; she graduated from Aurora Central | ||||||
| 11 | Catholic High School in 1975; in 1988, she and her husband | ||||||
| 12 | moved to their present home in North Aurora, where she worked | ||||||
| 13 | for many years as an administrative assistant for Pizza Hut's | ||||||
| 14 | corporate offices and served as a North Aurora trustee; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Barbara Ann Erickson was a devoted member of St. | ||||||
| 16 | Rita of Cascia Church in Aurora for over 25 years; she enjoyed | ||||||
| 17 | participating in discussion groups and served as a Eucharistic | ||||||
| 18 | Minister at St. Rita; she also enjoyed riding her bicycle along | ||||||
| 19 | the Fox River Trail, gardening, and making homemade pizzas; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Barbara Ann Erickson was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 21 | father, Burl Watson, and her children, Benjamin and Daniel; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Barbara Ann Erickson is survived by her husband, | ||||||
| 2 | Harold R. Erickson; her mother, Sandra Surratt; her children, | ||||||
| 3 | Mark Erickson, Julie (John) Gurke, and Ryan (Shandra) Erickson; | ||||||
| 4 | her grandchildren, Tre and Taylor Mitchell; her brother, Bill; | ||||||
| 5 | and her sisters, Betty, Jackie, Janie, Jeanie, and Kathy; | ||||||
| 6 | therefore, be it

| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 9 | her family and friends, the passing of Barbara Ann Erickson; | ||||||
| 10 | and be it further
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 12 | presented to the family of Barbara Ann Erickson as an | ||||||
| 13 | expression of our sympathy.
