SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of John F. "Jack" Zlogar Sr. of Joliet, who
passed away on October 23, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Jack Zlogar was born in Joliet to John and Frances
Zlogar and served in the United States Navy during World War
II; and
WHEREAS, Jack Zlogar retired after many years of dedicated
service from the Brotherhood of Local #1 Ironworkers; and
WHEREAS, Jack Zlogar enjoyed spending time with his family
for holidays, birthdays, and vacations at their condo on Siesta
Key Beach; and
WHEREAS, Jack Zlogar was preceded in death by his parents;
and
WHEREAS, Jack Zlogar is survived by his wife of 61 years,
Nancy (Smith) Zlogar; his sons, John F. (Denise) Zlogar Jr.,
Doug (Charlene) Zlogar, and Brad (Danette Sartori) Zlogar; his
daughter, Sally (Bob) Bertani; his brother, Jim (Katie) Zlogar;
his sister, Sr. Joan Zlogar O.P.; his grandchildren, Mike,
Jack, Christian, and Dillon Zlogar; and numerous nieces,

nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
John F. "Jack" Zlogar Sr., and extend our sincere condolences
to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Jack Zlogar as an expression of our
deepest sympathy.
