2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Edward "Ed" Young, formerly of Lake | ||||||
4 | Zurich, who passed away on September 23, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Edward Young grew up in Chicago; he was an Eagle | ||||||
6 | Scout, and at the age of 17, joined the United States Marines, | ||||||
7 | serving during World War II; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Edward Young served as a Scoutmaster and on the | ||||||
9 | local zoning board of appeals; he was a 52-year lifetime member | ||||||
10 | of the Lions Club and a member and deacon at St. Peter United | ||||||
11 | Church of Christ; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Edward Young was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
13 | Nora Young, and his brother, Freeman (Eleanor) Young; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Edward Young is survived by his children, Melanie | ||||||
15 | (Rick) Collard and Julie (Paul) Vormittag; his grandchildren, | ||||||
16 | Josh (Jessi Lee) Vormittag and Jessica Dawn Vormittag; his | ||||||
17 | great-grandchildren, Jasmin and Brianna Vormittag; his | ||||||
18 | siblings, Gene (Audrey) Young, Al (Linda) Young, and Delores | ||||||
19 | (Rudy) Wrublick; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be | ||||||

2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Edward "Ed" Young, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
5 | further

6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
