2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Norenne E. Dunker of Marengo, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on August 21, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Norenne Dunker was born in Crystal Lake to Edward | ||||||
6 | Albert and Edna Marie (Kegebein) Pinnow on November 29, 1931; | ||||||
7 | she married Robert Walter Dunker at Zion Lutheran Church in | ||||||
8 | Marengo on June 21, 1953; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Norenne Dunker was a registered nurse; she was an | ||||||
10 | operating room nurse at Highland Hospital in Belvidere for many | ||||||
11 | years, and she also worked for Dr. Bernard O'Malley; she | ||||||
12 | retired from Marengo High School, where she worked as the | ||||||
13 | school nurse and Health Occupations teacher for 19 years; she | ||||||
14 | was a volunteer nurse at Zion Lutheran School, where she also | ||||||
15 | served on its board of education and personnel board; and

16 | WHEREAS, Norenne Dunker was a member of Zion Lutheran | ||||||
17 | Ladies Aid, Sherman Hospital Alumnae, Concordia University | ||||||
18 | Auxiliary, and Highland Hospital Auxiliary; she loved her | ||||||
19 | family, her church family, her many cherished friends, and the | ||||||
20 | Chicago Cubs; and

21 | WHEREAS, Norenne Dunker was preceded in death by her |

1 | parents, her husband, and her brother, Normal Pinnow; and
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, Norenne Dunker is survived by her four children, | ||||||
3 | Mike (Sharon) Dunker, Sandee Dunker, Scott (Jacquie) Dunker, | ||||||
4 | and Tammie (Michael) Driver; eleven grandchildren, Matt | ||||||
5 | (Sarah) Dunker, Lisa (Dan) Jongebloed, Mo Dunker, Iesha Dunker, | ||||||
6 | Louis Dunker, Marisa Dunker, Chad Seedorf, Erika (Wesley) | ||||||
7 | Walker, Emily (Ben) Klick, Shayla Driver, and Andrew Driver; | ||||||
8 | her great-grandchildren, Kara and Kailey Dunker, Jack | ||||||
9 | Jongebloed, Julian Cameron, and Albert Walker; her sister, | ||||||
10 | Shirley Kitchen; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

11 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
12 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
13 | Norenne E. Dunker, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
14 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
15 | further

16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
17 | presented to the family of Norenne Dunker as an expression of | ||||||
18 | our deepest sympathy.
