2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Leonard L. "Bud" Nerge of Harvard, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on July 8, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge was born in Elmhurst to Louis and | ||||||
6 | Ida (Edecker) Nerge on June 15, 1930; he joined the United | ||||||
7 | States Army in 1954 and married Dorothy Hachmeister in Addison | ||||||
8 | on June 15, 1958; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge was a member of St. Paul Lutheran | ||||||
10 | Church in Harvard, the McHenry County Farm Bureau, and the | ||||||
11 | Woodstock V.F.W.; he was also involved in the Harvard Milk | ||||||
12 | Day's festivities and was a volunteer firefighter for the Rural | ||||||
13 | Harvard Fire Department; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge enjoyed dancing, old time music, and | ||||||
15 | reading his farm magazines; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge was preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | parents; his brother, Stuart Nerge; and his sisters, Floretta | ||||||
18 | Clausing and Ramona Gieseke; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge is survived by his wife, Dorothy; | ||||||
20 | his children, Duane Nerge and Cindy (Carl) Gnewuch; and his |

1 | grandchildren, Stephanie, Mark, and Kyle Gnewuch; therefore, | ||||||
2 | be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Leonard L. "Bud" Nerge, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
6 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
7 | further

8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to the family of Leonard Nerge as an expression of | ||||||
10 | our deepest sympathy.
