2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Howard Conkling, who passed away on June | ||||||
4 | 22, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Howard Conkling was born in Rockford to Edwin L. | ||||||
6 | and Sandra J. (Jacobs) Conkling on July 5, 1958; he married | ||||||
7 | Mary P. Fay on March 11, 1989; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Howard Conkling was a teacher and a coach at Round | ||||||
9 | Lake High School for 33 years; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Howard Conkling was a founder of the Round Lake | ||||||
11 | Athletic Hall of Fame; he was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs | ||||||
12 | and Green Bay Packers; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Howard Conkling is survived by his wife of 28 | ||||||
14 | years, Mary; his children, Emily and Michael Conkling; his | ||||||
15 | brother, Ted (Valerie) Conkling; his nieces, Danielle Donley | ||||||
16 | and Brooke (Ben) Carton; and his nephew, Ian Conkling; | ||||||
17 | therefore, be it

18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
20 | Howard Conkling, and extend our sincere condolences to his |
