| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Robert "Robbie" J. Pierce of McHenry, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on June 27, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Robert Pierce was born in Woodstock to William E. | ||||||
6 | Sr. and Catherine R. (Woolfe) Pierce on July 15, 1954; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Robert Pierce was born with Down Syndrome; his | ||||||
8 | parents were instrumental with the startup of the Pioneer | ||||||
9 | Center in McHenry, with their son being one of their original | ||||||
10 | clients; he enjoyed working at the Pioneer Center fish boils; | ||||||
11 | he was proud of his job bagging groceries at Jewel until his | ||||||
12 | retirement; and

13 | WHEREAS, Robert Pierce loved to fish, ride horses, and bowl | ||||||
14 | as part of the Special Olympics team; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Robert Pierce was preceded in death by his | ||||||
16 | parents; his brother, William Pierce Jr.; and his nephew, | ||||||
17 | David; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Robert Pierce is survived by his sister, Kathy | ||||||
19 | (Gene Church) Dam; his brother, John "Jack" (Barbara) Pierce; | ||||||
20 | and his nieces and nephews, John, Joe, Jean, Joan, and Debbie; |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Robert "Robbie" J. Pierce, and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
5 | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | ||||||
6 | it further
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Robert Pierce as an expression of | ||||||
9 | our deepest sympathy.
