| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Gilbert Lewis Hebenstreit of Gillespie, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on September 2, 2019; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Gilbert Hebenstreit was born in Staunton to Donald | ||||||
| 6 | and Louise (Calcari) Hebenstreit on January 11, 1938; he was a | ||||||
| 7 | veteran of the United States Marine Corps; he married Mary Jean | ||||||
| 8 | Goehe; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Gilbert Hebenstreit was the owner and operator of | ||||||
| 10 | many businesses, including Hebenstreit Funeral Home, | ||||||
| 11 | Hebenstreit Furniture Store, 3M Sanitation, Hebenstreit | ||||||
| 12 | Apartments, and car washes; he was also a distributor for | ||||||
| 13 | Anheuser Busch; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Gilbert Hebenstreit enjoyed spending time with | ||||||
| 15 | family and friends and cooking; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Gilbert Hebenstreit was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 17 | parents and his brother, Donald Hebenstreit; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Gilbert Hebenstreit is survived by his wife, Mary | ||||||
| 19 | Jean; his children, Mary Louise "Weiser" Hebenstreit, Gene | ||||||
| 20 | (Stephanie) Hebenstreit, and Margaret "Margie" (Mike) Brill; | ||||||

| 1 | his grandchildren, Britt Hebenstreit, Chelsey (Brandon) | ||||||
| 2 | Semplowski, Alec Hebenstreit, and Maris Brill; his | ||||||
| 3 | great-grandchildren, Marlee Hebenstreit, Rowdy Hebenstreit, | ||||||
| 4 | Viera Hebenstreit, Noah Semplowski, Alyvia Semplowski, and | ||||||
| 5 | Liam Semplowski; and his sister-in-law, Mary L. Hebenstreit; | ||||||

| 8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 9 | Gilbert Lewis Hebenstreit and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
| 10 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
