SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of William "Bill" Maniscalco of
4Palatine, who passed away on November 19, 2021; and
5 WHEREAS, Bill Maniscalco was born in Chicago in 1944; he
6served in the Air Force National Guard as a teletype
7technician; he married Josephine "Josie" Maniscalco on May 7,
81966; and
9 WHEREAS, Bill Maniscalco and his brother John took the
10helm of the business previously owned by their father,
11Mid-City Paving, and the business thrived under their 35 years
12of leadership; and
13 WHEREAS, In his retirement, Bill Maniscalco enjoyed
14golfing, rooting for the White Sox, cooking pasta and pizza,
15and traveling with his family; he loved his country and family
16fiercely; he was known to many as "Papa" and loved nothing more
17than being surrounded by his family; his sense of humor
18brought warmth, comfort, and laughter to every room he
19entered; he was a shining example of a loving son, father,
20grandfather, husband, and friend; he stayed close to his
21childhood friends and spent time with them weekly for 70
22years; and

1 WHEREAS, Bill Maniscalco was preceded in death by his
2parents and his sister-in-law, Bonnie Maniscalco; and
3 WHEREAS, Bill Maniscalco is survived by his wife; his
4children, William (Wendi) and Anthony (Brandi) Maniscalco; his
5grandchildren, Allison, William, Dominic, Aidan, Olivia, Lily,
6and Chase; his siblings, John Maniscalco and Francene (Ken)
7Rosenkrans; and many other relatives; therefore, be it
8 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10William "Bill" Maniscalco and extend our sincere condolences
11to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
12it further
13 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Bill Maniscalco as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
