2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Thomas A. Tincher of Lake Bluff, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on June 18, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Thomas Tincher attended Shattuck School in | ||||||
6 | Faribault, Minnesota and Northwestern University in Evanston; | ||||||
7 | he served in the United States Army as a Special Duty CIC field | ||||||
8 | officer; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Thomas Tincher's advertising career with the | ||||||
10 | Chicago Tribune spanned more than 40 years in the classified | ||||||
11 | and marketing departments; as a volunteer for LFTV Channel 19, | ||||||
12 | he produced and hosted dozens of "Meet Your Business Neighbor" | ||||||
13 | programs; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Thomas Tincher was active in his community; he | ||||||
15 | served as Lake Bluff Village Clerk, Lake Bluff Village Trustee, | ||||||
16 | and was a Lake Bluff History Museum board member; he was also a | ||||||
17 | member of the Rotary and American Legion Post 510; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Thomas Tincher was preceded in death by his | ||||||
19 | sister, Toni Stiles; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Thomas Tincher is survived by his wife of 63 |

1 | years, Ethel; his children, Mike (Jo), Cliff (Kelly), Tom, | ||||||
2 | Holly (Todd), and Sid (Heide); his grandchildren, Lila, Hanna, | ||||||
3 | Slaid, and Shane; and his sister, Jenny Cleaves; therefore, be | ||||||
4 | it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Thomas A. Tincher, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
9 | further
| ||||||
10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
11 | presented to the family of Thomas Tincher as an expression of | ||||||
12 | our deepest sympathy.
