SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Barbara Jean "Barb" Piggott, who passed
away on May 16, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Piggott was born in Chicago to Michael and
Mary (Dubick) Saczawski on December 10, 1941; she married
Robert J. Piggott in Chicago on April 20, 1963; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Piggott was an employee of Pioneer Center,
where she worked with disabled adults for 18 years; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Piggott loved going out with her
girlfriends, and enjoyed vacationing with her family in the
Wisconsin Dells; she was a talented cook and enjoyed hosting
her family and friends; above all, she adored being a loving
grandmother to her cherished grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Piggott was preceded in death by her
parents and her son, Robert M. Piggott; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Piggott is survived by her husband of 54
years, Robert; her son, Jonathan (Heather) Piggott; her
grandchildren, Jonathan Jr., Taylor, Carson, and Cade; and her
brother, Michael (Patricia) Saczawski; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Barbara Jean "Barb" Piggott, and extend our sincere condolences
to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Barbara Piggott as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
