2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Anne Berry, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | November 14, 2020 at the age of 88; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Anne Berry was born in Chicago on October 28, | ||||||
6 | 1932; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Anne Berry earned her undergraduate and graduate | ||||||
8 | degrees from the University of Illinois and the Illinois | ||||||
9 | Institute of Technology; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Anne Berry married Bill Berry in 1964; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Anne Berry lived her adult life in Chicagoland, | ||||||
12 | the Village of Oak Park specifically, and Indianapolis; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Anne Berry built a long and successful career in | ||||||
14 | art teaching and curation; during retirement, she was a docent | ||||||
15 | for the Indianapolis Museum of Art; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Anne Berry was politically engaged and eagerly | ||||||
17 | cast her ballot in the 2020 election; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Anne Berry was preceded in death by her husband |

1 | and her son, Jason Berry; and
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, At the time of her death, Anne Berry was survived | ||||||
3 | by her daughter, Diann Harris; her grandson, Drew Harris; her | ||||||
4 | brother, Donald Andersen; her daughter-in-law, Andrea Berry; | ||||||
5 | her nephews and nieces; and her friends; therefore, be it
| ||||||
6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
8 | Anne Berry and extend our sincere condolences to her family, | ||||||
9 | friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
| ||||||
10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
11 | presented to the family of Anne Berry as an expression of our | ||||||
12 | deepest sympathy.
