2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Don J. Kreul of Beach Park, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on May 22, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Don Kreul was born in Racine, Wisconsin on July | ||||||
6 | 20, 1923 and was an area resident for most of his life; he | ||||||
7 | served in the United States Navy just after World War II and | ||||||
8 | during the Korean War; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Don Kreul spent over 40 years, the majority of his | ||||||
10 | career, working for the Glidden Paint Company in Chicago in the | ||||||
11 | resins division; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Don Kreul was a member of St. Dismas Parish in | ||||||
13 | Waukegan and a former member of St. Patrick Parish in | ||||||
14 | Wadsworth; he was active in the Men's clubs at both parishes | ||||||
15 | and was a founding member of St. Dismas Parish; he was also a | ||||||
16 | member of the Sharvin Post Drum & Bugle Corps; and

17 | WHEREAS, Don Kreul was preceded in death by his loving wife | ||||||
18 | of 63 years, Elvira "Jo" Kreul; his parents; one brother; two | ||||||
19 | sisters; two sons-in-law, Walter Parsygnat and Joseph Schultz; | ||||||
20 | and his granddaughter, Erin Lawler; and

2 | Parsygnat, Randell J. (Mary) Kreul, Daniel J. (Janis) Kreul, | ||||||
3 | Jacquelyn K. (Edward Jr.) Smurlo, Leesa A. Schultz, Roger P. | ||||||
4 | (Cheryl) Kreul, Sherrilyn K. (Bruce) Swehla, and J. Scott | ||||||
5 | (Kathleen) Kreul; 35 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; | ||||||
6 | two great-great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Helene | ||||||
7 | Linder; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, | ||||||
8 | be it

9 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
11 | Don J. Kreul, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
12 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
| ||||||
13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
14 | presented to the family of Don Kreul as an expression of our | ||||||
15 | deepest sympathy.
