| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Howard J. Goodwin of Beach Park, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on May 14, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Howard Goodwin was born in Winthrop Harbor to | ||||||
6 | Howard and Frances Goodwin on November 2, 1935 and served with | ||||||
7 | the United States Army; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Howard Goodwin retired from the Outboard Marine | ||||||
9 | Corporation in Waukegan in 1995 after 22 years of service, | ||||||
10 | where he was the supervisor for 12 years; he also worked as a | ||||||
11 | plasterer for various companies in the area over the years; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Howard Goodwin was a member of Lakeview Church in | ||||||
13 | Zion and enjoyed gardening and fishing; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Howard Goodwin was preceded in death by his son, | ||||||
15 | Timothy John Goodwin; his parents; two brothers; and two | ||||||
16 | sisters; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Howard Goodwin is survived by his wife of 56 | ||||||
18 | years, Kathleen; his children, Amy (Thomas) Barber, Howard C. | ||||||
19 | Goodwin, and Heather (Robert) Kukla; six grandchildren; two | ||||||
20 | great-grandchildren; and his brother, Charles (Mary) Goodwin; |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Howard J. Goodwin, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
6 | further
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Howard Goodwin as an expression of | ||||||
9 | our deepest sympathy.
