| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Elvira Elmore Charles, who passed away on |
| 4 | | May 8, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Elvira Charles was born on March 29, 1930 in |
| 6 | | Coraopolis, Pennsylvania; her parents were Charles Jennings |
| 7 | | Bryan and Julia Woods Elmore; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Elvira Charles graduated from St. Catherine's |
| 9 | | Academy; she subsequently attended the Kentucky College of |
| 10 | | Business; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Elvira Charles was preceded in death by her |
| 12 | | parents; her siblings, John and Joseph Elmore and Julia |
| 13 | | Hamburg; and her daughter, Julie Woods Charles; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Elvira Charles is survived by her son, John |
| 15 | | Charles, and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, |
| 16 | | be it
|
| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 18 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
| 19 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Elvira Elmore Charles; |
