| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Lawrence R. "Larry" Graf, Jr. of Lake in | ||||||
| 4 | the Hills, who passed away on April 9, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Larry Graf was born in Chicago on January 17, 1946 | ||||||
| 6 | to Lawrence, Sr. and Rose (nee Cossa) Graf; he was raised in | ||||||
| 7 | Cicero and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in | ||||||
| 8 | Elmhurst and from Lewis College in Lockport; he served | ||||||
| 9 | honorably in the United States Navy; he married Barbara Shramuk | ||||||
| 10 | in 1968 and moved to Lake in the Hills in 1975; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Larry Graf was the retired President of Graf | ||||||
| 12 | Insurance Services and a founder and executive of Trade | ||||||
| 13 | Insurance Services and Intercargo in Schaumburg; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Larry Graf was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, enjoying | ||||||
| 15 | many afternoons at Wrigley Field with family and friends; he | ||||||
| 16 | coached baseball teams in Lake in the Hills and took his | ||||||
| 17 | children to sports events and on fishing trips; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Larry Graf is survived by his wife of 46 years, | ||||||
| 19 | Barbara; his children, Anthony, Phillip (Jennipher), Lawrence | ||||||
| 20 | III, Nicholas, Mark (Jane), Steven (Kristine), Kristen, and | ||||||
| 21 | Matthew; his 14 grandchildren, Meredith, Sophia, Frances, Roy, | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | Gloria, Marie, Catherine, Mason, William, Harrison, Connor, | ||||||
| 2 | Emma, Rose, and Jack; his sister, Judith (Donald) Sommer; and a | ||||||
| 3 | large extended family; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 6 | Lawrence R. "Larry" Graf, Jr., and extend our sincere | ||||||
| 7 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
| 8 | him; and be it further
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to the family of Larry Graf as an expression of our | ||||||
| 11 | deepest sympathy.
