2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Richard "Rick" G. Miller of Rock Island, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on April 28, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Richard Miller was born in Rock Island to Henry | ||||||
6 | and Rose Ihrig Miller on July 24, 1930; he served in the United | ||||||
7 | States Marine Corps during the Korean War and married Rita Rae | ||||||
8 | Ritze in Rock Island on June 16, 1951; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Richard Miller worked as a carpenter and retired | ||||||
10 | from International Harvester Farmall Works in Rock Island; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Richard Miller was a member of the 15th Avenue | ||||||
12 | Christian Church in Rock Island; he was a huge sports fan and | ||||||
13 | loved his horses; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Richard Miller was preceded in death by his | ||||||
15 | parents and his three brothers; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Richard Miller is survived by his wife, Rita; his | ||||||
17 | children, Mark (Ronee Aaron) Miller, Teri Miller, and Todd | ||||||
18 | (Brenda) Miller; his grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, and | ||||||
19 | Travis; and his great-granddaughters, Kylie and Jordyn; | ||||||
20 | therefore, be it

2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Richard "Rick" G. Miller, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
4 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
5 | further

6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
