2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Sandra Hotz of Salem, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | April 26, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Sandra Hotz was born in Murray, Kentucky to James | ||||||
6 | S. and Mavis (Cleaver) Carr on September 25, 1946; she married | ||||||
7 | Karl J. Tilkens on November 11, 1967 and later married Frank W. | ||||||
8 | Hotz on March 26, 1991; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Sandra Hotz was a faithful member of the Emmanuel | ||||||
10 | Baptist Church in Salem; she was a tireless volunteer for the | ||||||
11 | Republican Woman's Central Committee and a proud volunteer for | ||||||
12 | State Senator Kyle McCarter; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Sandra Hotz was a beautiful and elegant lady and | ||||||
14 | was a perfect example of grace and dignity; she loved her | ||||||
15 | children and grandchildren with all her heart and she showed | ||||||
16 | tremendous fighting spirit; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Sandra Hotz was preceded in death by her parents, | ||||||
18 | and her second husband, Frank; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Sandra Hotz is survived by her children, Eric | ||||||
20 | James (Rachel) Tilkens, Karla Annette (Warren) Blake, and |

1 | Lindsay Nadeen (Greg) Townsend; her stepchildren, Frank W. Jr. | ||||||
2 | (Cindy) Hotz, and Tanya Lyn (Bobby) Goodwin; her 11 | ||||||
3 | grandchildren; and her two great-grandchildren; therefore, be | ||||||
4 | it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Sandra Hotz, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, | ||||||
8 | friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
| ||||||
9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
10 | presented to the family of Sandra Hotz as an expression of our | ||||||
11 | deepest sympathy.
