| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Shirley Sue Cloninger of Alton, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on April 21, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Shirley Cloninger was born in Vandalia to Helen | ||||||
| 6 | Curry and Floyd W. Radcliffe on January 1, 1931; she graduated | ||||||
| 7 | from Roxana High School in 1949 and from Alton Memorial School | ||||||
| 8 | of Nursing in 1952; she married C. Wayne Cloninger in Wood | ||||||
| 9 | River on September 14, 1952; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Shirley Cloninger began her 42-year nursing | ||||||
| 11 | career with Drs. W.V. Roberson and B.L. Roberson at Wood River | ||||||
| 12 | Township Hospital and retired in 1991; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Shirley Cloninger was a member of St. Paul United | ||||||
| 14 | Methodist Church in Rosewood Heights; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Shirley Cloninger was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 16 | parents; her son, Gregory Wayne Cloninger; and her daughter, | ||||||
| 17 | Nancy Lynn Walker Bobo; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Shirley Cloninger is survived by her husband, | ||||||
| 19 | Wayne; her daughter, Kathryn Sue (John) Theen; her | ||||||
| 20 | grandchildren, Jeffrey (Laura) Cloninger, Jeremy (Irene) | ||||||

| 1 | Stalcup, Brian Cloninger, Kyle (Tamara) Walker, Alicia | ||||||
| 2 | Stalcup, Ryan (fiancee Jama Fabry) Theen, and Christopher | ||||||

| 8 | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
