2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Charles Albert Ault III of Bannockburn, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on February 17, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Charles Ault III was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to | ||||||
6 | Charles Albert Ault II and Adele Louise (Egerton) Ault on July | ||||||
7 | 21, 1931; he graduated from Gunnery High School in Washington, | ||||||
8 | Connecticut in 1957; he attended Miami University in Oxford, | ||||||
9 | Ohio where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi and graduated in | ||||||
10 | 1955 with a bachelor's degree in business; he married Valerie | ||||||
11 | Harris Richards in 1956 and was then drafted into the United | ||||||
12 | States Army, serving at Fort Riley, Kansas; he was honorably | ||||||
13 | discharged after two years of service; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Charles Ault III worked for OPW (Dover | ||||||
15 | Corporation) for 38 years before he retired; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Charles Ault III and his wife frequently traveled | ||||||
17 | internationally including annual trips to Guadalajara, Mexico, | ||||||
18 | one of their favorite places; he was also an active supporter | ||||||
19 | of the Lincoln Park Zoo; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Charles Ault III is survived by his wife of 61 | ||||||
21 | years, Valerie Harris (Richards) Ault; his son, Charles Albert |

1 | Ault IV; his daughter, Eleanor Bromwell (Ault) Strakusek | ||||||
2 | (Robert), his grandchildren, Mallory Strakusek (Paul) | ||||||
3 | Gillespie and Allison Martha Strakusek; and his | ||||||
4 | great-grandson, Parker Walter Gillespie; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Charles Ault III, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
9 | further

10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
11 | presented to the family of Charles Ault III as an expression of | ||||||
