SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charles Albert Ault III of Bannockburn,
4who passed away on February 17, 2017; and
5 WHEREAS, Charles Ault III was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to
6Charles Albert Ault II and Adele Louise (Egerton) Ault on July
721, 1931; he graduated from Gunnery High School in Washington,
8Connecticut in 1957; he attended Miami University in Oxford,
9Ohio where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi and graduated in
101955 with a bachelor's degree in business; he married Valerie
11Harris Richards in 1956 and was then drafted into the United
12States Army, serving at Fort Riley, Kansas; he was honorably
13discharged after two years of service; and
14 WHEREAS, Charles Ault III worked for OPW (Dover
15Corporation) for 38 years before he retired; and
16 WHEREAS, Charles Ault III and his wife frequently traveled
17internationally including annual trips to Guadalajara, Mexico,
18one of their favorite places; he was also an active supporter
19of the Lincoln Park Zoo; and
20 WHEREAS, Charles Ault III is survived by his wife of 61
21years, Valerie Harris (Richards) Ault; his son, Charles Albert

1Ault IV; his daughter, Eleanor Bromwell (Ault) Strakusek
2(Robert), his grandchildren, Mallory Strakusek (Paul)
3Gillespie and Allison Martha Strakusek; and his
4great-grandson, Parker Walter Gillespie; therefore, be it
5 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Charles Ault III, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
10 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Charles Ault III as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
