2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Glen Earl Wiemerslage of Antioch, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on June 14, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage was born in Chicago to Arthur | ||||||
6 | and Lillian (Mielke) Wiemerslage on March 9, 1936; he served | ||||||
7 | in the U.S. Navy; he married Edith Stuckrath in Chicago on | ||||||
8 | September 1, 1962; he lived in Franklin Park and Buffalo Grove | ||||||
9 | before settling in Antioch in 1995; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage worked for AT&T for over 30 | ||||||
11 | years, where he started as a technician before moving into | ||||||
12 | sales and eventually retiring as a project manager in 1990; | ||||||
13 | and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage enjoyed boating and woodworking; | ||||||
15 | and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage was preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | parents and his brother, Arthur; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage is survived by his wife of 58 | ||||||
19 | years, Edith; his sons, Glen Jr. (Angela) Wiemerslage and Greg | ||||||
20 | (Martha) Wiemerslage; his grandchildren, Glen III, Karl, |

1 | Nathan, Alyssa, and Lauren; his sister, Judith Hirsch; and | ||||||
2 | many other relatives and friends; therefore, be it
| ||||||
3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Glen Earl Wiemerslage and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
6 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
7 | further
| ||||||
8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to the family of Glen Wiemerslage as an expression | ||||||
10 | of our deepest sympathy.
