SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
to learn of the death of Glen Earl Wiemerslage of Antioch, who
passed away on June 14, 2021; and
WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage was born in Chicago to Arthur
and Lillian (Mielke) Wiemerslage on March 9, 1936; he served
in the U.S. Navy; he married Edith Stuckrath in Chicago on
September 1, 1962; he lived in Franklin Park and Buffalo Grove
before settling in Antioch in 1995; and
WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage worked for AT&T for over 30
years, where he started as a technician before moving into
sales and eventually retiring as a project manager in 1990;
and
WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage enjoyed boating and woodworking;
and
WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage was preceded in death by his
parents and his brother, Arthur; and
WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage is survived by his wife of 58
years, Edith; his sons, Glen Jr. (Angela) Wiemerslage and Greg
(Martha) Wiemerslage; his grandchildren, Glen III, Karl,

Nathan, Alyssa, and Lauren; his sister, Judith Hirsch; and
many other relatives and friends; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Glen Earl Wiemerslage and extend our sincere condolences to
his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Glen Wiemerslage as an expression
of our deepest sympathy.
