SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Glen Earl Wiemerslage of Antioch, who
4passed away on June 14, 2021; and
5 WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage was born in Chicago to Arthur
6and Lillian (Mielke) Wiemerslage on March 9, 1936; he served
7in the U.S. Navy; he married Edith Stuckrath in Chicago on
8September 1, 1962; he lived in Franklin Park and Buffalo Grove
9before settling in Antioch in 1995; and
10 WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage worked for AT&T for over 30
11years, where he started as a technician before moving into
12sales and eventually retiring as a project manager in 1990;
13and
14 WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage enjoyed boating and woodworking;
15and
16 WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage was preceded in death by his
17parents and his brother, Arthur; and
18 WHEREAS, Glen Wiemerslage is survived by his wife of 58
19years, Edith; his sons, Glen Jr. (Angela) Wiemerslage and Greg
20(Martha) Wiemerslage; his grandchildren, Glen III, Karl,

1Nathan, Alyssa, and Lauren; his sister, Judith Hirsch; and
2many other relatives and friends; therefore, be it
3 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Glen Earl Wiemerslage and extend our sincere condolences to
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
8 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Glen Wiemerslage as an expression
10of our deepest sympathy.
