2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Emil R. Schinckel, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | March 21, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Emil Schinckel was born in Grinnell, Iowa, to | ||||||
6 | George and Alice (Van Branteghen) Schinckel on September 14, | ||||||
7 | 1927; he served in the United States Army during World War II | ||||||
8 | and married Dorothy Ruby in East Moline on August 13, 1949; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Emil Schinckel retired from Quality Control at | ||||||
10 | John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Emil Schinckel enjoyed fishing, playing cards, | ||||||
12 | working in the yard, and most of all, his grandchildren; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Emil Schinckel was preceded in death by his son, | ||||||
14 | Robert Michael Schinckel; and seven brothers and sisters; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Emil Schinckel is survived by his wife, Dorothy; | ||||||
16 | his sister, Joan Sellers; his daughters, Sandra (Gary) | ||||||
17 | Armstrong, Linda (Demos) Mekus, Deborah (George) | ||||||
18 | Apostolopoulos, Pamela (Russell) Frohock, and Candace (Kent) | ||||||
19 | Donis; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and | ||||||
20 | three great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Emil R. Schinckel, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
5 | further
| ||||||
6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to the family of Emil Schinckel as an expression of | ||||||
8 | our deepest sympathy.
