2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Kathleen "Kay" Subaitis, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on October 2, 2020 at the age of 85; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Kay Subaitis was born on September 13, 1935; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Kay Subaitis graduated from Immaculate Conception | ||||||
7 | High School in Elmhurst in 1953; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Kay Subaitis was a longtime administrative | ||||||
9 | assistant at the District 97 Oak Park Public Elementary School | ||||||
10 | central office; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Kay Subaitis was a decades-long board member of | ||||||
12 | the North Riverside Public Library and the Friends of the | ||||||
13 | Library; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Kay Subaitis was preceded in death by her | ||||||
15 | parents, Francis R. and Florence Solomon, and her brother, | ||||||
16 | Frank (Joyce) Shannon; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Kay Subaitis is survived by her children, Rick, | ||||||
18 | Cathy (Earl) Briggs, and Dan (Judy); her grandchildren, | ||||||
19 | Shannon Briggs and Danielle, Alexandra, Hannah, and Cole |

2 | Richard W. Subaitis; therefore, be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Kathleen "Kay" Subaitis and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
6 | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
7 | further
| ||||||
8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to the family of Kay Subaitis as an expression of our | ||||||
10 | deepest sympathy.
