1		SENATE RESOLUTION
2		WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3		to learn of the death of Myron A. Sergeant of Milan, who passed
4		away April 25, 2021; and
5		WHEREAS, Myron Sergeant was born in Walnut to Charles and
6		Maida Robinson Sergeant on July 9, 1931; he served in the U.S.
7		Army during the Korean War and married Velma Rieker; and
8		WHEREAS, Myron Sergeant was a member of Plumbers and
9		Pipefitters Local 25 in Rock Island for 34 years; and
10		WHEREAS, Myron Sergeant was an avid fisherman; he enjoyed
11		bowling, collecting flashlights and fishing reels, and
12		dancing; and
13		WHEREAS, Myron Sergeant was preceded in death by his
14		parents; his sister, Joanne Garrison and her husband Guy; and
15		his niece, Anne Garrison; and
16		WHEREAS, Myron Sergeant is survived by his life companion,
17		Mary Young; his sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Brenda
18		Sergeant, Lawrence Sergeant, and Charles and Karen Sergeant;
19		his grandchildren, Kari Stewart, Scott Sergeant, Cody
20		Sergeant, Bradley (Cristina) Whitcomb, Cortney (Chuck) Leuth,

1		and Zoey Sergeant; and nine great-grandchildren; therefore, be
2		it
3		RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
4		ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5		Myron A. Sergeant and extend our sincere condolences to his
6		family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7		further
8		RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9		presented to the family of Myron Sergeant as an expression of
10		our deepest sympathy.
