| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Alex Glen Kube of Rockford, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on February 8, 2017 at the age of 29; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Alex Kube was born in Phoenix, Arizona on October | ||||||
| 6 | 31, 1987; he was a 2006 graduate of Cary Grove High School and | ||||||
| 7 | earned a football scholarship to Northern Illinois University; | ||||||
| 8 | following college, his hard work earned him a tryout with the | ||||||
| 9 | Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings; after football, he started | ||||||
| 10 | a love for coaching and teaching young people of all ages; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Alex Kube was owner of Elite 7, a coach for the | ||||||
| 12 | Rockford East football team, and teacher at Lincoln Middle | ||||||
| 13 | School; the impact he left on so many will forever be his | ||||||
| 14 | legacy; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Alex Kube was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 16 | grandmother, Marilyn Ankcorn; grandfather, Jerry Walker, and | ||||||
| 17 | his aunt Lisa Rehling; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Alex Kube is survived by his loving wife, | ||||||
| 19 | Elizabeth (Starliper) Kube; his parents, Lorna Kube and Tim | ||||||
| 20 | Walker; his brothers, Blake Kube and Spencer Kube, who is | ||||||
| 21 | currently in the United States Marine Corps stationed in Japan; | ||||||

| 1 | his stepbrothers, Colin and Devin Walker; his mother and | ||||||
| 2 | father-in-law, Terry and Lisa Starliper; his grandparents, | ||||||
| 3 | Glen Ankcorn, Willie and Ozella Hardwick, and Connie Walker; | ||||||
| 4 | and many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 7 | Alex Glen Kube and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 9 | further
