1		SENATE RESOLUTION
2		WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3		to learn of the death of Steven "Steve" M. Gustaf of Colona,
4		who passed away on April 7, 2021; and
5		WHEREAS, Steve Gustaf was born to Joseph P. and Lucille P.
6		Feegan Gustaf in Moline on November 16, 1950; he served in the
7		Army during the Vietnam Era; he married Debra Ray in June of
8		1974; he later married Annette Anderson in East Moline in
9		August of 2000; and
10		WHEREAS, Steve Gustaf worked for several railroads,
11		retiring in 2010; he also worked at the family businesses, I80
12		Truck Stop in Atkinson and Gustaf Auto & Machine in Moline; and
13		WHEREAS, Steve Gustaf was a member of the Colona American
14		Legion Post 1233 and of FOE 1839; and
15		WHEREAS, Steve Gustaf was inducted into the 2018 Hall of
16		Fame at the East Moline Speedway; and
17		WHEREAS, Steve Gustaf enjoyed racing, building motors, and
18		shooting pool; and
19		WHEREAS, Steve was preceded in death by his parents and

1		his brothers, Joe Gustaf and Danny Gustaf; and
2		WHEREAS, Steve Gustaf is survived by his wife, Annette;
3		his children, Steven (Carrie) Gustaf, Matt (Katie) Anderson,
4		Mark Anderson, and Mike (Amanda) Anderson; his grandchildren,
5		Steven Gustaf Jr., Alexis Anderson, Brendon Anderson, Joe
6		Anderson, Kameron Anderson, James Anderson, Nataly Anderson,
7		and Khloe Anderson; his brothers, David Gustaf and Ron (Lyn)
8		Gustaf; and his sisters, Linda (Craig) Dugan, Joann VerVaecke,
9		and Cindy Johnson; therefore, be it
10		RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
11		ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12		Steven "Steve" M. Gustaf and extend our sincere condolences to
13		his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14		further
15		RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16		presented to the family of Steve Gustaf as an expression of our
17		deepest sympathy.
