SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Steven "Steve" M. Gustaf of Colona,
4who passed away on April 7, 2021; and
5 WHEREAS, Steve Gustaf was born to Joseph P. and Lucille P.
6Feegan Gustaf in Moline on November 16, 1950; he served in the
7Army during the Vietnam Era; he married Debra Ray in June of
81974; he later married Annette Anderson in East Moline in
9August of 2000; and
10 WHEREAS, Steve Gustaf worked for several railroads,
11retiring in 2010; he also worked at the family businesses, I80
12Truck Stop in Atkinson and Gustaf Auto & Machine in Moline; and
13 WHEREAS, Steve Gustaf was a member of the Colona American
14Legion Post 1233 and of FOE 1839; and
15 WHEREAS, Steve Gustaf was inducted into the 2018 Hall of
16Fame at the East Moline Speedway; and
17 WHEREAS, Steve Gustaf enjoyed racing, building motors, and
18shooting pool; and
19 WHEREAS, Steve was preceded in death by his parents and

1his brothers, Joe Gustaf and Danny Gustaf; and
2 WHEREAS, Steve Gustaf is survived by his wife, Annette;
3his children, Steven (Carrie) Gustaf, Matt (Katie) Anderson,
4Mark Anderson, and Mike (Amanda) Anderson; his grandchildren,
5Steven Gustaf Jr., Alexis Anderson, Brendon Anderson, Joe
6Anderson, Kameron Anderson, James Anderson, Nataly Anderson,
7and Khloe Anderson; his brothers, David Gustaf and Ron (Lyn)
8Gustaf; and his sisters, Linda (Craig) Dugan, Joann VerVaecke,
9and Cindy Johnson; therefore, be it
10 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Steven "Steve" M. Gustaf and extend our sincere condolences to
13his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
15 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Steve Gustaf as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
