2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Marion E. O'Connell of Waukegan, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on February 1, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell was born in Chicago to Clyde and | ||||||
6 | Grace Monnier on February 26, 1928; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell worked in the transportation | ||||||
8 | department of the Veterans Administration Hospital, retiring | ||||||
9 | in 1993; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell enjoyed playing bingo and loved | ||||||
11 | her "puppies" who were always at her side; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell was preceded in death by her | ||||||
13 | husband, Jerry; her daughter, LaVerne; her parents; her sister, | ||||||
14 | Charlotte Barrett; her brother-in-law, Phil Barrett; and her | ||||||
15 | sister-in-law, Sally; and

16 | WHEREAS, Marion O'Connell is survived by her children, | ||||||
17 | Diane (Bert) Tarnowske, Bob (Deb) O'Connell, and Jerry, Dan, | ||||||
18 | and Michelle (Bill) Stolarik; 14 grandchildren; 10 | ||||||
19 | great-grandchildren; her brother, Clyde Monnier; her sisters, | ||||||
20 | Jean (Ed) Hopkins, and Sharon (Bob) Kozlowski; and many nieces, |

1 | nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Marion E. O'Connell, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
