| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Earl H. Kroeger of Rock Island, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on January 16, 2017 at the age of 85; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Earl Kroeger was born to Theodore and Mabel | ||||||
6 | Kroeger of Long Grove, Iowa on February 1, 1931; he graduated | ||||||
7 | from Davenport High School and Deforest Training School with a | ||||||
8 | degree in electronics; he served in the United States Army | ||||||
9 | during the Korean War and married Martha Dugan at St. Joseph's | ||||||
10 | Catholic Church in Rock Island, on September 29, 1951; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Earl Kroeger owned and operated Hilltop | ||||||
12 | Television and Satellite in Davenport for 35 years; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Earl Kroeger was an avid hunter, fisherman, and | ||||||
14 | boater; he was also active on community councils and with the | ||||||
15 | Boy Scouts of America; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Earl Kroeger was preceded in death by his son, | ||||||
17 | Douglas, and his daughter, Christie; his parents, seven | ||||||
18 | brothers, and one sister; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Earl Kroeger is survived by his wife of 65 years, | ||||||
20 | Martha; his daughter, Paula Ambre; his sons, Ricky J. (Debra) |

1 | Kroeger, and Curtis E. (Mindy) Kroeger; his sister, Inez Sharp; | ||||||
2 | four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; therefore, | ||||||

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | Earl H. Kroeger, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
8 | further

9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
10 | presented to the family of Earl Kroeger as an expression of our | ||||||
11 | deepest sympathy.
