2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Alonzo Homer Kenniebrew of Moline, who | ||||||
4 | passed on January 9, 2017, at the age of 84; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Alonzo Kenniebrew was born in Evanston to Jessie | ||||||
6 | Mae Schultz Kenniebrew and Dr. Alonzo Homer Kenniebrew on | ||||||
7 | January 30, 1932; he was a star athlete at Springfield High | ||||||
8 | School and Carthage College, and a veteran of the United States | ||||||
9 | Army; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Alonzo Kenniebrew worked in the field of medical | ||||||
11 | research; he later worked in nursing home administration and | ||||||
12 | subsequently with Aflac; he spent most of his career in the | ||||||
13 | Chicago area; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Alonzo Kenniebrew was preceded in death by his | ||||||
15 | parents and a half-sister; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Alonzo Kenniebrew is survived by his spouse, | ||||||
17 | Bonnie Rose Wainwright Kenniebrew; his three daughters; one | ||||||
18 | stepson; eight grandchildren; four great-grandsons; his | ||||||
19 | sister; and a former spouse; therefore, be it

20 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |

1 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
2 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Alonzo Homer | ||||||
3 | Kenniebrew, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
4 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
| ||||||
5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
6 | presented to the family of Alonzo Kenniebrew as an expression | ||||||
7 | of our deepest sympathy.
