2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:

Article 5. Department of Natural Resources.
5 Section 5-5. (a) The Director of the Department of Natural
6Resources, on behalf of the State of Illinois, is authorized to
7execute and deliver to Hall Township, a unit of local
8government organized and existing under the laws of this State,
9of Bureau County, for and in consideration of $1 paid to the
10Department, a quitclaim deed to the following described real

6 (b) The conveyances of real property authorized by this
7Section shall be made subject to: (1) existing public
8utilities, existing public roads, and any and all reservations,
9easements, encumbrances, covenants and restrictions of record;
10(2) the express condition that if the real property ceases to
11be used for public purposes, it shall revert to the State of
12Illinois, Department of Natural Resources.
13 Section 5-10. (a) The Director of the Department of Natural
14Resources, on behalf of the State of Illinois, is authorized to
15execute and deliver to Menard County, a unit of local
16government organized and existing under the laws of this State,
17for and in consideration of $1 paid to the Department, a
18quitclaim deed to the following described real property:
19 All that portion of the right of way and appurtenances of
20 the abandoned portion of the Madison Subdivision of Union
21 Pacific Railroad Company (formerly the Chicago and North
22 Western Transportation Company), now known as the Sangamon
23 Valley Trail Bikeway, described as Beginning at the South
24 line of Section 18, Township 17 North, Range 5 West of the

1 Third Principal Meridian, and thence running in a northerly
2 direction along the centerline of said abandoned railroad
3 to the North line of the Northeast Quarter of Section 6,
4 Township 17 North, Range 5 West of the Third Principal
5 Meridian, as measured along said centerline of said
6 abandoned railroad as originally surveyed, all being
7 situated in the County of Menard and the State of Illinois.
8 (b) The conveyances of real property authorized by this
9Section shall be made subject to: (1) existing public
10utilities, existing public roads, and any and all reservations,
11easements, encumbrances, covenants and restrictions of record;
12(2) the express condition that if the real property ceases to
13be used for public purposes, it shall revert to the State of
14Illinois, Department of Natural Resources.
15 Section 5-20. The Director of Natural Resources shall
16obtain a certified copy of the portions of this Act containing
17the title, the enacting clause, the effective date, the
18appropriate Section or Sections containing the land
19descriptions of the property to be conveyed, and this Section
20within 60 days after its effective date and, upon receipt of
21the payment required by the Section or Sections, if any payment
22is required, shall record the certified document in the
23Recorder's Office in the county in which the land is located.

Article 10. Department of Transportation.

1 Section 10-5. Upon the payment of the sum of $3,900 to the
2State of Illinois, and subject to the condition set forth in
3Section 10-30 of this Act, the Secretary of Transportation, on
4behalf of the State of Illinois, is authorized to release the

6from all dedication and easement rights, and interest acquired
7for highway purposes:

Article 99. Effective date.
6 Section 99-99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
7becoming law.
