Amends the Surface-Mined Land Conservation and Reclamation Act. Provides that the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation shall conduct inspections of the operation of a surface mining facility on a quarterly basis or 4 times per year.

1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Surface-Mined Land Conservation and
5Reclamation Act is amended by changing Section 7 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 715/7) (from Ch. 96 1/2, par. 4508)
7 Sec. 7. Entry upon lands for inspection.
8 The Department, or its accredited representatives, may
9enter upon the lands of the operator at all reasonable times
10for the purpose of inspection, to determine whether the
11provisions of this Act have been complied with. The Department
12shall conduct inspections of the operation on a quarterly
13basis or 4 times per year.
