Bill Title: Amends the School Code. Prohibits a school board from limiting the number of dual credit courses a student may enroll in or the number of credits a student may receive from dual credit courses. Provides that if a school district establishes an online learning program for students (with exceptions), the school board may not limit (i) which students may participate in the program, (ii) the number of online courses a student may enroll in, or (iii) the number of credits a student may receive from online courses.

AN ACT concerning education.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The School Code is amended by renumbering and
changing Section 10-20.60, as added by Public Act 100-133, as
follows:
(105 ILCS 5/10-20.62)
Sec. 10-20.62 10-20.60. Dual enrollment and dual credit
notification.
(a) In this Section, "dual credit course" has the meaning
ascribed to that term in the Dual Credit Quality Act.
(b) A qualified student shall be allowed to enroll in an
unlimited amount of dual credit courses and earn an unlimited
amount of academic credits from dual credit courses if the
courses are taught by an Illinois instructor, as provided under
the Dual Credit Quality Act.
(c) A school board shall require the school district's high
schools, if any, to inform all 11th and 12th grade students of
dual enrollment and dual credit opportunities at public
community colleges for qualified students.
