Bill Title: Amends the School Code. Requires a school district to allow a student to possess and use a topical sunscreen product while on school property or at a school-related event or activity, regardless of the student possessing a note or prescription from a licensed health care professional. Effective immediately.

1 | AN ACT concerning education.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | 22-32 as follows:

7 | Sec. 22-32. Student possession and use of sunscreen. A | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | school district shall allow a student to possess and use a | |||||||||||||||||||
9 | topical sunscreen product while on school property or at a | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | school-related event or activity, regardless of the student | |||||||||||||||||||
11 | possessing a note or prescription from a licensed health care | |||||||||||||||||||
12 | professional.
