AN ACT concerning regulation.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by adding
Section 356z.41 as follows:
(215 ILCS 5/356z.41 new)
Sec. 356z.41. Emergency air transportation. An
out-of-network provider of emergency air transportation may
not charge an insured a rate that is 125% more than the rate
allowed by Medicare for similar services.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
2020.
