Bill Title: Amends the Home Health, Home Services, and Home Nursing Agency Licensing Act. Provides that a hospital licensed under the Hospital Licensing Act, hospital operated under the University of Illinois Hospital Act, facility licensed under the Nursing Home Care Act, or health care provider licensed under any Act of this State that receives funds from the State may not refer a patient or the family of a patient to a home health agency, home nursing agency, or home services agency unless the agency is licensed under the Home Health, Home Services, and Home Nursing Agency Licensing Act.

AN ACT concerning regulation.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Home Health, Home Services, and Home Nursing
Agency Licensing Act is amended by adding Section 3.8 as
follows:
(210 ILCS 55/3.8 new)
Sec. 3.8. Referrals; license required. A hospital licensed
under the Hospital Licensing Act, hospital operated under the
University of Illinois Hospital Act, facility licensed under
the Nursing Home Care Act, or health care provider licensed
under any Act of this State that receives funds from this State
may not refer a patient or the family of a patient to an agency
unless the agency is licensed under this Act.
