1 AN ACT concerning property.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. Conveyance to City of Morris.
5 (a) The Director of the Department of Natural Resources,
6on behalf of the State of Illinois, is authorized to execute
7and deliver to the City of Morris, a municipality organized
8and existing under the laws of the State of Illinois, of the
9County of Grundy, State of Illinois, for and in consideration
10of $1 paid to the Department, a quitclaim deed to the following
11described real property:
12 That part of the Illinois and Michigan Canal Reserve
13 located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 33
14 North, Range 7 East of the Third Principal Meridian, City
15 of Morris, County of Grundy, State of Illinois, more
16 particularly described as follows:
17 Commencing at a PK Nail marking the Northwest corner of
18 said Section 9; thence South 00 degrees 58 minutes 09
19 seconds East along the West line of said Section 9, 147.22
20 feet (147.30 feet record)to a brass disk in concrete
21 marking the North Illinois and Michigan Canal Reserve;
22 thence continuing South 00 degrees 58 minutes 09 seconds

1 East along said West line, 251.80 feet (251.82 feet
2 record) to a brass disk in concrete marking the South

6 Point of Beginning; thence North 01 degrees 09 minutes 50
7 seconds East, 42.26 feet; thence South 89 degrees 57
8 minutes 24 seconds East, 318.82 feet to the East line of
9 the Northwest Quarter of said Section 9; thence South 01
10 degrees 00 minutes 36 seconds East along the East line of
11 said Northwest Quarter, 52.97 feet to a point on the South
12 line of the Illinois and Michigan Canal Reserve; thence
13 North 88 degrees 02 minutes 48 seconds West along the
14 South line of the Illinois and Michigan Canal Reserve,
15 320.80 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 15,221
16 square feet 0.349 acres, more or less.
17 (b) The conveyance of real property shall be made subject
18to:
19 (1) Existing public utilities, existing public roads,
20 and any and all reservations, easements, encumbrances,
21 covenants, and restrictions of record.
22 (2) The express condition that if the real property
23 ceases to be used for public purposes, it shall revert to
24 the State of Illinois, Department of Natural Resources.
25 (3) The right, title, and interest of the United
26 States of America, if any, in and to any of the subject

1 parcel as a reversionary interest or otherwise under
2 Congressional Acts of March 30, 1822, March 25, 1827, July
3 1, 1947 and any others, if applicable.
4 (c) The Director of Natural Resources shall obtain a
5certified copy of the portions of this Act containing the
6title, the enacting clause, the effective date, and this
7Section within 60 days after its effective date and, upon
8receipt of the payment required by subsection (a), shall
9deliver to the City of Morris to record the certified document
10and quitclaim deed in the Recorder's Office in the county in
11which the land is located.
12 Section 10. Conveyance to the Forest Preserve District of
13Cook County.
14 (a) The Director of the Department of Natural Resources,
15on behalf of the State of Illinois, is authorized to execute
16and deliver to the Forest Preserve District of Cook County, a
17forest preserve district organized and existing under the laws
18of the State of Illinois, of the County of Cook, State of
19Illinois, for and in consideration of $1 paid to said
20Department, a quitclaim deed to the following described real
21property:

23 Part of "26th Street and Wolf Road Subdivision", according
24 to the plat thereof, recorded September 30, 1925, as

8consideration of $1 paid to said Department, a quitclaim deed
9to the following described real property:

21 Section 20. "An Act concerning civil law", approved August
2222, 2005 (Public Act 94-653), as amended by "An Act concerning
23civil law, approved December 13, 2019 (Public Act 101-607), is
24amended by changing Section 5 as follows:

7Office of Cook County, Illinois permanent conservation
8easement to the Chicago Park District, a park district
9organized and existing under the laws of the State of
10Illinois. Illinois Department of Natural Resources or to the
11Chicago Park District on a parcel containing 30 acres, more or
12less, that is located in Section 18, Township 40 North, Range
1313 East of the third principal meridian, Cook County,
14Illinois, situated to the West and South of the Chicago Read
15Mental Health Center, for the purpose of preserving and
16protecting the wetlands and forested area for the benefit of
17the patients of the facility, the community, and the general
18public.

6deed to the following described real property, to wit:
7 A tract conveyed to the State of Illinois, Department of
8 Conservation (now Department of Natural Resources) by deed
9 dated February 10, 1969, and recorded July 17, 1969, as
10 (Document Number 53205 in the Recorder's Office of Stark
11 County, Illinois and ) described as:
12 All of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad
13 Company's abandoned right of way in Lot 1, Block 10; and
14 part of Lot 3, Block 9 of Giles C. in Dana's Addition to
15 Town City of Wyoming lying 50 feet on each side of the
16 Railroad Company's main track centerline as formerly
17 located.

20 (b) The conveyance of real property shall be made subject
21to: (1) existing public utilities, existing public roads, and

7 Sec. 30. (a) The Director of the Department of Natural
8Resources, on behalf of the State of Illinois, is authorized
9to exchange certain real property in Pulaski County, Illinois,
10hereinafter referred to in this Section as Parcel 1, for
11certain real property of equal or greater value in Pulaski
12County, Illinois, hereinafter referred to in this Section as
13Parcel 2, the Parcels being described as follows:
14 PARCEL 1:
15 The North 86 106 feet of the following described tract of
16 land conveyed to the People of the State of Illinois,
17 Department of Natural Resources, Springfield, IL., by
18 Warranty Deed dated June 19, 2009, recorded June 25, 2009,
19 Document No. 24582, in Book 257, Page 816, described as
20 follows to-wit:
21 "A tract of land in the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest
22 Quarter of Section 14, Township 14 South, Range 1 East of

2responsible for any and all title costs associated with their
3respective properties.
4 (c) The conveyance of Parcel 1 as authorized by this
5Section shall be made subject to existing public utilities,

7easements, encumbrances, covenants, and restrictions of
8record.
9 (d) The Director of the Department of Natural Resources
10shall obtain an opinion of title from the Attorney General
11certifying that the State of Illinois will receive
12merchantable title to the real property in this Section
13referred to as Parcel 2.

15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
16becoming law.
